Like all things that have been built exceptionally well, this site doesn’t look complicated, but under the hood there are many special things going on to give it that polished look and feel. This site dynamically generates PDFs, attaches them to emails, saves configured lighting systems & groupings of systems in a Lightsaver, allows consumers to register their catalogs, & lookup rep locations based on their zip code. There’s some pretty cool stuff going on over here. Excepting the Barrett Newton website, this is probably the most complex ExpressionEngine site we’ve ever built, but it’s a breeze for the client to update hundreds of products with images, catalog files, photometrics and more. This website puts a local lighting manufacturer on a level playing field with the big boys, and really lets their products shine.
We can’t take all of the credit though. The ad wizards at Atomic Dust of St. Louis, MO. designed this site, and provided much of the jQuery and HTML/CSS used throughout the site (hat’s off to you Billy.) We’ve had an excellent time working with the Atomic Dust team on this one, and it really shows in the final product.
