Tell it like it is

This was an incredibly detailed poem of moving images built for Land Rover via Young & Rubicam. Calming, beautiful, metaphoric… unique, and that’s just the car. The website was a bit more conceptual than most, each page has a hidden item, a cloud shaped violin, a woman in the surf, or a face in a cliff. Each page also features subtle and beautiful (and pretty realistic) animations and so many details you can’t possibly catch them all. From the tiny artist with his own shadow in the sand, the birds flying by, the waves that morph into a woman’s body, every page has a unique experience. The vehicle animations were great too, from the shifter, to the glove box to the windows rolling down. Speaking of which, if you can find it, the acoustic glass animation is my favorite. You’ll notice the sound cuts out when the window rolls up, the interior gets a little darker, and there is even a tiny window glass logo visible when the window is all the way up. It’s details like these that has made us a favorite of Young & Rubicam & other agencies for so long. I believe this one won an award from Communication Arts. Great stuff.
